OutReach Program

Cyber Security and Information Sharing Efforts

At the request of Department of Health and Human Services* (HHS) – Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) – H-ISAC has developed multiple means of outreach to increase the spread of important cyber awareness information and education throughout the health care sector, including the smaller organizations.

H-ISAC realizes health care is a connected community and that the strengthening of each health care organization strengthens the entire health care community – we are all in this together.

This information outreach includes:

– Free H-ISAC Workshops across the country: Basic Best Practices in Cybersecurity

– Free Partnered Workshops across the country: Health IT Summits

– Free H-ISAC Daily Security Intelligence Report and H-ISAC Alerts

– HPH Outreach Information on the H-ISAC website at https://h-isac.org/outreach/

*H-ISAC has been awarded both ONC and ASPR Grants associated with improving cyber threat information sharing and cyber hygiene awareness within our health care community. These activities are funded within the associated grants and require no financial commitment or membership to participate. The goal of these grants is to increase the cyber situational awareness for organizations of all sizes within the HPH sector, including the smaller organizations.
