We’ve all seen how blockchain technology is revolutionizing the healthcare industry, but what about cryptocurrency and healthcare?  They may seem like two unrelated topics; however, there are several intersections to explore between the two.  Crypto can be used to entice service within the healthcare industry.  There are already dozens of medical crypto variations available to purchase and spend.  Cryptocurrency can also monetize and/or tokenize items within the industry, like a drug or researcher purchasing PHI. Crypto can provide a more secure form of payment, as well as allowing for quick, cross border transactions.  Crypto also has the unfortunate intersection with healthcare through the rise in ransomware attacks on healthcare providers and facilities.
