Increasing Cyber Threats to US Hospitals
As the digital age continues to evolve, the healthcare system in the United States faces a growing and concerning trend. Cybersecurity experts are warning that US hospitals are increasingly at risk of cyberattacks, leading to significant operational disruptions and patient care challenges. The rise in the use of online technology in healthcare has amplified the digital attack surface, making hospitals an appealing target for internet thieves.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is making concerted efforts to help hospitals and health systems prepare for and prevent cyber threats. The AHA provides government cyber threat intelligence, alerts, and reports, along with information from the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (H-ISAC).
