The FDA’s evolving regulatory landscape for medical device cybersecurity is indicative of the growing need for robust security measures. The Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Health-ISAC) together with Finite State and Securin released a report earlier that examined 993 vulnerabilities within 966 medical devices, indicating a 59% YOY increase from last year. The report also found that software applications within medical devices accounted for 64% of the vulnerabilities found.
